Nature Classes

At the Alliance Française, nature classes play an essential role in the educational journey of elementary school students. They provide a different way of learning, offer meaningful group experiences, and help students develop independence in a natural and stimulating environment.

Throughout their schooling, students participate in three five-day sessions (Monday through Friday):

In CE2 (3rd grade)

A discovery class in the mountains, at La Parva.

In CM1 (4th grade)

A stay on the shores of Lake Rapel.

In CM2 (5th grade)

A stay at La Parva during the winter season to discover skiing and other mountain activities. If the ski resort is closed, other winter activities are available.

Each trip is organized by the class instructor, along with a team that includes, among others, specialized monitors, kitchen staff, maintenance staff, and a nursing technician, who ensure the students’ well-being and safety throughout the experience.

These special moments foster group cohesion, curiosity, the discovery of new environments, and self-confidence, while giving meaning to what students have learned in class.
