Early Childhood Education (Preschool)

La educación parvularia es una de las particularidades del sistema educativo francés. Acoge a los niños desde los tres años de edad para ofrecerles una formación y educación de acuerdo con el programa de Educación Nacional francés para este nivel.

Our school is, in fact, an institution where children complete the first cycle of elementary school—the cycle of early learning—which consists of three years:

Learning is organized into five areas of learning

A supportive environment and staff committed to your children

Each teacher has the full-time support of an early childhood education assistant (ASEM). These assistants are bilingual in French and Spanish in kindergarten (grande section) and Spanish-speaking in preschool and pre-kindergarten.

  • An educational project that offers school activities tailored to the child's natural rhythms.
  • A peaceful environment where children can grow and develop in complete safety.
  • Staff trained to care for your children.
  • Consideration of differences and specific educational needs.
  • A shared educational responsibility with families.
  • Spaces and facilities designed for young children.

The Practice of Positive Evaluation

We believe that it is by recognizing and taking pride in their achievements that children build self-confidence, develop a desire to continue striving, and understand the importance of attending school.

The assessment is based primarily on daily observation of the child. We track learning and communicate about our students’ progress mainly through three tools:

Learning Progress Tracking Workbook

A learning progress log that is filled out throughout the entire school cycle: in preschool, then in middle school, and in high school. It allows us to document and highlight the child’s progress.

Individual Interviews

with the homeroom teacher at the end of each semester, which ensures ongoing communication about their children's progress.

Summary of Lessons Learned

A report given at the end of kindergarten (grande section) that informs parents about what their child is capable of doing upon completion of preschool.
