We know that it can be challenging for families to balance work responsibilities with caring for and supporting their children, especially the youngest ones at home. That is why, as a school, we are committed to supporting our community by offering alternatives that provide peace of mind for parents and promote the well-being of children.
With this vision in mind, we have created “Le Petit Prince,” our afternoon educational activities program for Maternelle students (PS, MS, and GS), which offers families who need it an option for extended-day care in a safe, educational, and nurturing environment.
This program is designed to support children after school, providing them with a safe, nurturing environment that fosters their holistic development, all within the school setting they are already familiar with.
The program runs Monday through Friday, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and includes lunch in the school cafeteria. Families can pick up their children at 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., or 6:00 p.m., depending on their needs.
The activities are organized around different areas of learning: language, artistic expression, math games, movement, cooperation, and group life—always using a playful approach that respects each child’s individual pace.
Each group, with a maximum of 30 students per classroom, is supported by an educational team consisting of a teacher and a preschool assistant, ensuring personalized, professional, and high-quality care.
