Scolaide

The new app for managing applications for French school aid.

This portal allows parents of French children to submit an application for school assistance and subsequently track the status of their application. To submit an application online, families must reside abroad within the school district of the school their child attends and be registered in the Registry of French Citizens Residing Abroad.

Consular offices remain the competent authorities for processing and evaluating applications for educational assistance submitted by families.

Use of the AEFE Scholarship

Below, we provide information on the procedure for using the AEFE Scholarship benefit for school insurance, transportation, and meals.

School Insurance

School Insurance

The school will arrange insurance coverage through Clínica Alemana for students at both campuses who receive a 100% scholarship. Students with a partial scholarship must purchase insurance on their own and submit the necessary documentation to receive reimbursement.

Transportation

Transportation

The financial representative may request reimbursement for public transportation costs for students who use it. The only authorized forms of transportation are those that use the Bip card (Transantiago and Metro).
If school transportation is used, the parent or guardian may grant a simple power of attorney to the transportation provider (attaching a photocopy of their ID card) so that the provider can process the reimbursement directly in their name. In this way, the parent or guardian will only have to pay the difference.

Food

Food

All students who receive a meal scholarship are notified at the school cafeteria. The number of lunches is allocated based on the percentage of the scholarship awarded to the student, who may use them during the corresponding period until all assigned meal tickets have been used.

Solidarity Fund

The Antoine de Saint-Exupéry High School Solidarity Fund was established in November 2019, following its approval at the respective General Assembly of Members, with the aim of providing financial support to the families most in need through educational scholarships. This contribution consists of an amount in Chilean pesos that is awarded to a family as a discount on their tuition fees.

The creation of this fund is in line with the values of our school, which the Alianza Francesa de Santiago Educational Corporation seeks to promote and strengthen within the community of which we are all members. Fraternity is one of the fundamental pillars of the French Republic and one of the core values of our school—a value we wish to instill in our children.

The Solidarity Fund is financed primarily by contributions made by all members of our community through various mechanisms, such as:

  • A donation equal to a percentage—determined by the Corporation’s board of directors and approved by the General Assembly of Members—of the monthly tuition payments made by the school’s families
  • Voluntary contributions from parents and members of the Corporation.
  • Funds raised through activities and events organized by the Corporation for this purpose
  • Corporate Contributions
  • Other voluntary contributions from individuals or legal entities outside the school community.

The review of applicants' backgrounds and the decision regarding the award of financial aid and its amount are made by a committee that is advised by a social worker who specializes in this area.
