Inés Marín Swimming Tournament

On Saturday, August 29, we held the second annual Inés Marín Swimming Tournament at our Chamisero campus, bringing together our students and teams from the American British School, SEK International School, Grace College Huechuraba, and the Providencia and Chicureo campuses of Trewhela’s School for a great day of sports.

This tournament is named after our beloved alumna from the Class of 2019 and professional swimmer, Inés Marín, who recently set a new all-time national record in the 50-meter freestyle in a short-course pool. On this occasion, we were honored to have her join us, and she was able to spend time with the young swimmers, who were very excited to talk with her.

The parents, along with some teachers from Chamisero, also joined in the tournament with an entertaining relay race.

Our athletes shone with excellent results:
1st place: Tomás Irribarra – 25 m Freestyle and 25 m Backstroke
1st place: Valeria Amigo – 50 m Freestyle
2nd place: Valeria Amigo – 50 m Backstroke
3rd place: Emilia Rivera – 25 m Freestyle and 25 m Backstroke
3rd place: Lara Apablaza – 50 m Breaststroke
3rd place: Valeria Castilla – 50 m Breaststroke

We would like to extend a special thank you to Inés Marín, the Arena brand, and VEF2027 for joining us today.

Congratulations to all our athletes for their hard work, discipline, and sportsmanship! We are very proud of you.

See you next year at the third edition of this wonderful tournament!
