Walk to School: Every Step Brings Us Closer

On Monday, August 17, we launched the “Walk to School” project at Básica Vitacura, a joint initiative led by the school administration, the Parents’ Association (CPA), and the Municipality of Vitacura, which aims to promote active mobility among our students through supervised, fun, and sustainable walks.

From two meeting points, the CP, CE1, and CE2 students began their day by walking to school together, accompanied by trained supervisors and volunteer parents.

More than just a walk, this initiative aims to strengthen independence, foster a sense of community, and promote healthy lifestyle habits, while also helping to reduce traffic congestion, noise, and emissions in the area surrounding the school.
